Follow these steps to delete your Facebook account permanently

1. Go to Facebook from your computer. You cannot delete your account from the mobile app.

2. Click the arrow at the top right of the page and select "Settings & Privacy."

3. Click "Settings".

4. Click on "Your Facebook Information" on the left.

5. Click "Deactivate and Delete."

6. Select "Delete Account" and then click "Continue to Account Deletion".

7. Enter your password and click "Continue."

8. Click "Delete Case."

Your account will be deleted within 30 days. In the meantime, you can still recreate your account by logging back in to Facebook. However, after 30 days, your account will be permanently deleted and all your data will be deleted.

Things to keep in mind before deleting your Facebook account

1. Lose all your Facebook photos, video messages, and other data.
2. You cannot use your Facebook account to connect to other websites or apps.
3. You cannot recover your account after it has been deleted.

If you are not sure whether you should delete your Facebook account or not, you can also deactivate it instead. When you terminate your account, it will hide your profile, photos and videos from others, but you can log back in and reactivate your account at any time.
