There are two ways to delete an Instagram account: briefly deactivating it or completely deleting it.

• Temporarily deactivating your Instagram account

Temporarily deactivating your Instagram account hides your profile, snap shots, and videos from others. This may be a great option in case you're taking a break from Instagram but want to hold your account lively.

• To temporarily deactivate your Instagram account:

1. Go to Instagram.Com from an internet browser.

2. Log in for your account.

3. Click in your profile image in the top right nook.

4. Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.

5. Click on "Privacy and Security" within the left sidebar.

6. Scroll right down to the "Account Deactivation" section.

7. Click on "Temporarily Deactivate Account."

8. Select a reason from the drop-down menu for why you are deactivating your account.

9 Re-enter your password and click on "Temporarily Deactivate Account."

Your account could be deactivated right away. To reactivate your account, definitely log again in to Instagram.

• Permanently deleting your Instagram account

Permanently deleting your Instagram account will take away all of your snap shots, motion pictures, feedback, and likes. This action is irreversible.

• To completely delete your Instagram account:

1. Go to the Delete Your Account web page.

2. Select an alternative from the drop-down menu below "Why do you want to delete [account name]?"
